I spent twelve years of my life building a very solid career for myself in the Electronics industry. I started out helping to run the family business BABCO created by my father over 23 years ago. My father is and has always been an outstanding mentor for me to learn from.

In the late 90’s I generated a business plan, sought out financial backing and was granted the go ahead to create my business plan for a company called NANYA Electronics.. We went from $zero$ in sales in the Orange County territory to hitting over 4.5 million dollars within our first year. At the age of 31 I was feeling quite successful. I was the General Manager of this business and had put together an incredible staff of employees.

One night at a club (summer 2002 ) I ran into an actress and writer named RayDawn Chong. (Tommy Chong’s daughter) She asked what I do for a living? So I elaborated about my accomplishments, and my huge salary and my fancy title. And she said no, no, I meant what are you passionate about.? I attempted to still play up my big career. She repeated, but what are you passionate about ? At that moment I almost hated her for her simple yet very important question.

Ever since I was a child I wanted to be ROCK STAR. I absolutely LOVE music of all kinds.I don’t have the voice to sing but I absolutely love music. My home was covered with collages of concerts I had attended. From Ozzy in 81, to Lenny Kravitz in 2002 it dawned on my I am passionate about music. I was faced with that brutal reality of what am I doing with my life?

In February 2003 I began working for a classic Rock Radio Station . I began selling advertising for a Palm Springs Radio Station; KCLB. The first time I went into the studio and watched the D.J.’s go on air live and heard music playing throughout the building I knew I had finally found what I was passionate about.

Since then I have teamed up with an absolute music veteran and wise teacher Mr. Dwight Arnold. Dwight is the D.J. and creator of what is to date The Sunday Night Music Meeting. We had pitched the Sunday Night Music Meeting back at KCLB where we were emphatically denied. We were told nobody was interested In hearing a local or new music show. Boy, were they wrong. M995/KMRJ was eager to show support to new music and up and coming artists. Ratings and advertisers for this program continue to grow.

During my involvement on the M99.5 Sunday Night Music Meeting as local Music Coordinator and talent buyer for Kevaworks Events I came across the rock band The Conspiracy of Thought an amazingly talented group of guys. (winners of Round # 2 M99.5 Battle of The Bands) Having recently formed Back Stage Pass Management we joined forces and have been together ever since working on our plan to “Rock The House and Save the World”. COT was voted in Music Connection Magazines Hot 100 unsigned bands 2005 & 2006 as well as winners of The Best Live Band Award at the Inland Empire Music Awards hosted by X103.9, also performers at the Indie103.1 Southern California Music Awards performing their hit sing “Suffocate Me” which has received radio air play on over 12 radio stations nationwide. As well as BSP recently secured COT an advance marketing deal with Black Mountain Records & Entertainment setting this talented four-some off on a world wide 2007 tour to Canada and The UK where they are receiving a huge response from fans.

I am so fortunate and continue to work with very successful musicians. I have met and or interviewed such bands as DEFAULT, GOLDFINGER, &THE OFFSPRING/ Ronnie King, Neil Sanderson THREE DAYS GRACE, Scott Lucas- LOCAL H, BUCK CHERRY, hung out back stage with THE CULT’S Billy Duffy & photographed him and Ian Astbury from on stage, same with Panic at The Disco, Billy idol and Steve Stevens all up close (yummy), Met some classics such as SURVIVOR “eye of the tiger baby”, and BLUE OYSTER CULT, I even got drunk with Air Supply, worked back Stage at the AFI, Yellow Card Stage at 2006 91X Street Scene boy did they rock. All amazing talents and I am blessed to be part of this amazing music scene. Back Stage Pass will be partnering with Black Mountain Records and Entertainment on the 2007 Issues of The Works Magazine offering this music & lifestyle magazine worldwide exposure. For more info contact us.

I continue to work with Craig Herkimer of Kevaworks creator of the Battle of the Bands 4 part event which Dwight and I hosted (see CBS icon for interview) I work as talent Buyer and Music Coordinator of Kevaworks for our Rising Star Showcases, annual events such as Indio Salsa Festival & Fall Fest. Back Stage Pass Management offers management guidance and exposure for amazing artists like The Conspiracy of Thought and Dream Life Misery while we continue to open doors for all kinds of musicians and live that Rock N Roll Dream.

“Well Miss Ray Dawn Chong I’d love to run into you again, and be able to answer your question now, Thanks wherever you are!"
